Engraved Grunge Board

Long time no see!! Geezzzz, May was super busy for me, family obligations etc.

Shad & family made a quick trip up here for Memorial Day Weekend from Kansas, so Landi & boys came up to. Joey had us all over to his house for a BBQ on Sat. everyone had a good time especially the kids, it was 92 degrees out and very humid so the boys had a lot of fun in the pool, it doesn't happen very often that I have all 4 grandsons in the same place so it was special, here are a few pics.....

I started this project before everyone came, finally got it done!
We do framing where I work so there is always scraps of matt board around. One day when I went into work my boss had cut out a couple 5x7 pieces and had some metal corners and a nifty little machine to put the corners on with. She asked if I could come up with something with it to do a class on, OH YEAH the wheels started turning (I think I scare her sometimes)! lol
So I put the corners on the matt board with the cool machine (can't remember the name of it) and brought the pieces home to start playing. Tim had posted a cool album on his blog which I really liked so I did the front cover kinda like that.

The inside of the cover I did this.....

Is this to cool or what, I engraved on grunge board!!! It also works on grunge paper! I wasn't sure if it was going to work but it worked just great!!! I didn't want to stamp the letters on the sign (I wouldn't have gotten them straight) and didn't want to cut letters on the cricut and I didn't have any small enough letters so the engraving worked out perfectly! Wheels are turning again on something else to make and engrave on the grunge board & paper. So excited it worked!!! I got the embossing folders just in time to try it on this piece, love them!! The album class will be June 23rd, come join me!

Have a good one!!

Eye Glass Case/Mothers Day

I had a really great Mothers Day weekend with Landi & family, always so much fun at her house! Her boys are always doing something fun! On Sat. we took Bridger to Chuck E. Cheese's while Landi & Caidin helped with a garage sale. We made the mistake of asking Bridger where he wanted to have lunch, Chuck E. Cheese's he says, we tried & tried to get him to go somewhere else but he would say NO Chuck E. Cheese's! He didn't throw a fit or anything, would just smile and say it, so who can resist right!! So we went and had a lot of fun! We thought the Pizza was pretty bad but he liked it. He even got his picture taken with Chuck E. Cheese, he wouldn't look at the camera just stared at Chuck E. Cheese! So Cute!!
Sunday was finally nice enough to go outside and the boys got to jump on their trampoline, they have so much fun!

Potted flowers with the boys for mothers day gift. Bridger was so funny, he tried to put the whole container of flowers in the flower pot!

And did I mention dirt, little boys are attracted to it!!!!

Bob has been looking for a pop up camper to leave at the lake so he can have a place to stay and try get out fishing more often this summer. So Bob & Chad went to look at one and yep, it came home with them! The boys loved it, I didn't think we were going to get them to come out of it!

Fun over, had to come home and get busy and finish this eye glass case for a class I'm doing on Thurs. along with the wallet/coupon holder.

Reading glasses fit perfectly in the case. I used Studio 490 stamps to stamp the book page, grunge rose & leaves. Love Wendy's stamps!!!

Have a good one!

Tim Holtz die cut album

My 6 yr. old grandson loves my new puppy Maddie. He was with us when we picked her out. He knew I had taken some pictures of him & Maddie and has been asking if I could get him some of the pictures, and I keep forgetting (bad grandma here)!! Anyway, I'm going to see him this weekend so I made up this little album with some of the pictures in it for him made with Tim Holtz die cuts. Nothing fancy, after all a 6 yr. old is going to be carrying it around so didn't get to fancy with it.

These dies are so easy to take a little chipboard and some paper and you have a cute little album. I used movers & shapers baroque with the repostionable magnetic die for the holes and movers & shapers styled lables for the matts behind the pictures. Also, used heart wings & regal crest. I did get the holes a little to far down, will have to watch that next time. Another thing, make sure you cut the chipboard & paper at the same time as if you go back and try line up the holes, it doesn't work to well, trust me!! I truly love these die cuts!! I took these pictures inside so not the best as there was no way I was going outside to take them, cold, rainy & windy day here today!!!

Have a good one!

Tim Holtz Sizzix Die Cut Layouts

Hope everyone had a GREAT Inter-National Scrapbook Day/weekend!! I managed to get a little scrapbooking done. Still having fun with my Tim Holtz Sizzix die cuts!!!! This layout is of all 4 of my grandson's....

I used sandable coordinations paper and Movers & Shapers die cut to matt the pictures. I also used Heart Wings, Elegant Flourishes & Hardware Findings die cuts.

The next one is of the youngest grandson's birthday party...

It is a double layout but for the life of me I can not get it to upload, so here are parts of it...

I wanted to do something different to put on the edge of the pictures so I used the Gadget Gears die cut. They were fun to do!!

Thanks again everyone for all your nice comments and visiting my blog regularly!!

Have a good one everyone!!
