Inspiration Studio 490

Happy Easter weekend everyone!
Over on Simon Says Stamp and Show this week is Inspiration Studio 490. I just couldn't sit this one out and had to make something. I love Studio 490...Wendy Vecchi stamps, art parts etc. Wendy is so talented, her creativity is fabulous! Super nice lady!! ♥
So I had been trying to think of something to make for a different project I had been working on and woke up one morning and had an idea for curlers. Don't ask where that one came from, maybe I had a nightmare about using them again!! lol I remember sleeping with those things in my hair, ouch!! Don't want to ever go back to that!! So then I read the challenge for SSSS and put the idea into place. I think I giggled at every curler I glued down! lol I used the telephone art part Wendy had made & signed the back that she gave me at CHA. So I didn't want to glue it down to something and cover the back, so hence the spool art part. So here is my piece curlers and all...

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wendy Vecchi Pocket Watch Santa/Tag #1

Geez, been a bad blogger here!! Tis the season to be busy!!
I made this Christmas ornament using Wendy Vecchi Pocket Watch Art Part!! Love her Art Parts & Stamps!! The Santa is from Tim Holtz seasonal pad, the holly leaves is one of Tim Holtz stamps cut out and embellished with Rock Candy Distress Stickles and the berry's are Christmas red stickles. The star I covered with perfect pearls and the flourish is from Maya Road. This will be my entry for the challenge on Simon Says Stamp and Show Blog http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com.

I also have been trying to keep up with Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas & Mario on FB & Twitter. Not doing to good on the tag part, finally got tag #1 done working on tag #2. I just love when Tim does this each year, full of techniques and inspiration!! I'm going to try catch up then keep up, we'll see!! lol

Have a good one!!

A Little Twist on Grunge Paper Roses

I decided to try something different with my grunge paper roses and added book pages and spritzed them with perfect pearls. The pictures don't really do them justice but they turned out pretty cool! I'm going to use them for a class at the Arts & Crafts center.

And here's one of my little Rock Stars, a Christmas present he has been having a lot of fun with!!
I played with my Yudu I got for Christmas yesterday and ruined two emulsion sheets, thank goodness I found some at our local Michaels but didn't get a chance to try it again today, so hopefully tomorrow!! Hopefully after two trys I think I know what to do now!!geezzzz!!
Have a good one!

Christmas Tag & Calendar

Had a great weekend, babysat Jackson on Fri. night, then back over to Joey's for supper on Sat. night, he makes some awesome BBQ sauce! Canned salsa on Sun. and cleaned and went through stuff getting ready for a garage sale. I even managed to squeeze in some play time, made this christmas tag. So hard to believe it is right around the corner!

And here is a calendar that I started over a month ago and just finished it!  Made with grunge board, grunge paper and Wendy Vecchi's awesome stamps!  I've been loving the color combination of blue & orange lately!

Hoping to start a travel album tonight while watching Dancing with the Stars, woo hoo!  Love that show!
Headed to Shad's next month so thought I would get a jump start on a travel album.

Landi & family might come up this weekend, really looking forward to that!  Seems like I can only go a couple of weeks without seeing all of them!  Poor Bridger got stung by a bee on Sat. right on the nose, poor little guys eye is all swollen, I feel so bad for him!  Hope it gets better soon!
Have a good one!

Stickles, CHA, Three Faces of the King

I had done this layout a while ago, but it was just missing something. I hadn't wanted to mat the pictures, it would have covered up to much of the background. I decided to outline the pictures and lettering with stickles, worked out perfectly!
My sister & I at CHA event show Three Faces of the King. If you ever get a chance to see them go, it was an awesome show!!!!
