Hats Off to You

Yay, I got done early this week for Grungy Monday at http://studiol3.blogspot.com using Tim Holtz www.timholtz.com techniques and I'm also using it for my entry on Simon Says Stamp and Show http://simonsaysstampandshow.blogspot.com.

As many of you know my son left for Afghanistan earlier this month. It sound's like communication is going to be very limited so I decided I would make cards for him and get one sent as often as I can. Here is one of them using the technique on Linda's blog and using Wendy Vecchi Stamps stamped on GB & GP & Graphic45 paper.

Dimensional Collage Fragment

It's hard to believe that we are on week #34 for the Compendium of Curiosities Challenges on Linda's blog http://studiol3.blogspot.com. I did pretty good for the first part of the challenges in keeping up but life got in the way of completing all of the challenges, but it has been great to try different techniques which I might not have tried otherwise. Thank you Linda for doing them!!

For this weeks challenge Dimensional Collage Fragment I made a banner, I have totally been addicted to banners lately!! I used Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk Collection, and used the big fragment so I could get a lot on there, just love Graphic 45 paper!! I'm still not sure about the blue flower on there, I might change it out we'll see. Now I'm off to play with some new Distress Stains I got in the mail yesterday!! Yippee!!

Inking Grunge

Hey Everyone,
I have had a busy busy couple of weeks, sure busier then I want to be that's for sure!! Fighting a cold on top of it, oh summer colds!! UGG!!
The challenge for wk#8 on Linda's blog was Inking Grunge, one of my favorites!! The header pic of my blog was done all with GB&GP. Love, love, love inking grunge!!! I took this photo last weekend at the lake of my grandson Bridger by an old boat. Love it! Decided to make a wall hanging with it and hang it in my craft room (no studio here) lol!! I didn't have much time this week, otherwise I might have come up with something other then flowers, oh well. I used Graphic 45 On the Boardwalk collection. Inked a styled label in rusty hinge and ran it through an embossing folder and inked up the flowers cut from Tim's Tattered Florals die. Have you watched the video on his blog with the rosette, on my wish list for sure!!!

We had a super fun weekend camping at the lake with Landi & family. The boys love the water!!

Vintage

I have been so bad lately neglecting my blog and pretty much everything else!! grrr!! I have been super busy with to many things! I have been working on a couple of projects that I just can't find the right thing to go on them! another grrrrr!! So I decided just to let them sit for awhile and maybe when I go back to them I will be able to figure out just the right thing to put on them. So I decided to do some layouts, love the vintage car! I want to thank everyone who leaves comments on my blog, I appreciate it so much!! Thank you!! And I do frequent your blogs also, and love all the amazing work I see!! I will try be better about leaving a comment.

Christmas Album

When I got home from our trip I started a travel album, got the cover almost done when this Christmas album that I started about two months ago kept staring me in the face. I decided I better get that project done before I moved on to another. I don't know why but I kept starting this album then putting it aside, maybe because Christmas was so far away, now it is right around the corner! Yikes! Another inspiration to get it done might be that I finally found some Distress Stickles Rock Candy, oh my gosh is this stuff addicting! Worked perfect for some of the embellishments for the pages!! I'm determined now to get it done so I can move on to other things!

I might still add some lace to the bottom of the snow man one if I can find some that will match. Already started on another page so I'm on a roll!!!!!

Fall Festival/Layout of Wendy V. & me

I have been busy, busy, busy! I had a garage sale Fri. & Sat. so that kept me pretty busy for a while. Glad it is over, they are a lot of work! On Sat. after the sale we went to Landi's and on Sun. we went to a fall festival, had so much fun! Of course the beautiful weather we had been having had to turn and it was cold, windy & rainy! But we had a good time, so fun watching the kids!

Here is a layout I did with a picture of Wendy V. & myself at CHA Orlando. I used the tags Wendy was demoing and gave to me, one was from CHA Anaheim & the other from CHA Orlando. Added a lot of grunge paper embellishments using Wendy's stamps. Love her stamps!!! I took a copy of the back where she signed it and made a little tag out of it.

Busy, busy, busy!!! Last week was family time, sister from CA was here, babysitting Jackson and Landi's family was here, Soooooo Nice!!!!!

Chirstmas in Sept. Yup, that is what I have been concentrating on, never to early to think of gifts to give! Here is a little peek at one of the projects I have been working on. Photo isn't the greatest, I have a professional photographer that lives behind me, I think I'm going to have to have her come over and take my pictures!!
I have been more in the gathering of supplies mode, I'm not a fan of ordering on line and having to wait until they arrive! I did hit a couple of LSS stores & Hobby Lobby yesterday and scored a few things I can use. A week to late at one of them to pick up some rock candy. Grrrr! Hope to finish the two projects I have been working on this week.
