Funky Necklace

I have drank way to much coke tonight, not tired! I have a busy day tomorrow and I'm so going to regret it!!!! I decided to finish a project I have been working on. I made this funky necklace using fragments, memory glass and frame, some of Tim's Ideaology and Wendy's stamps. I used frosted glass in the frame as that is what I had on hand but I think I will order some clear ones and change it. I think I will also order the more silver frames and change that to when they come in. It was a fun little project to make!

Have a good one!!

Grunge Paper Rose Frame

What a world win of a couple months I have had!!! Christmas, bad weather, new job, now husband Bob had to have triple by-pass surgery last Wed. This was his 3rd open heart surgery! He is still in the critical care unit but is doing pretty good. So most of my time since Wed. has been spent at the hospital, man that tires me out more then working all day!!! Due to bad weather I'm home early today and it feels pretty good! I know he is in good hands so I'm going to enjoy being home and not just sitting around at the hospital.

Here is what I made with my twist on the grunge paper roses, we are doing a class making them in March. Looks a lot better in person, they turned out really pretty.

It has been raining here then snowing then more rain & snow, roads going into town today were awful, I had to putz down the road going 20-25 miles an hour!! Made it to my grandsons birthday party and up to the hospital to see DH. Plows finally came out so coming home wasn't so bad, thank goodness!!! Here is a couple pictures from the BD Party..

And here is a couple pictures of some winter fun from a couple of weeks ago at Landi's. Chad was pulling the boys around with his snowmobile. The boys were having a ball!!!

Thank goodness for those grandson's of mine, always a good time!!!

Have a good one everyone!!

A Little Twist on Grunge Paper Roses

I decided to try something different with my grunge paper roses and added book pages and spritzed them with perfect pearls. The pictures don't really do them justice but they turned out pretty cool! I'm going to use them for a class at the Arts & Crafts center.

And here's one of my little Rock Stars, a Christmas present he has been having a lot of fun with!!
I played with my Yudu I got for Christmas yesterday and ruined two emulsion sheets, thank goodness I found some at our local Michaels but didn't get a chance to try it again today, so hopefully tomorrow!! Hopefully after two trys I think I know what to do now!!geezzzz!!
Have a good one!

MIA

MIA here or what!!! Between Christmas, company & being sick I haven't done anymore then I had to!! I have had a cold since before Christmas and just doesn't want to go away, at least the fever & body aches are gone! Our Christmas was very different this year, because of the storm coming in we ended up having our Christmas Eve on Wed. night as two of kids had to get elsewhere. What fun with all 4 grandsons together!! Then we got stormed in for 2 1/2 days!!!! Couldn't get where we were going to go on Christmas day so luckily I had taken out a turkey out of the freezer on Thurs. just in case so at least we had a good dinner on Fri.!! I felt so bad for Shad & family as they wanted to do a few things and see people, all they got was stuck in the house with mom & dad!! We did get dug out on Sun. and had a belated Christmas dinner etc. at SIL which was very nice! Thank goodness Shad was here as he helped us out a lot getting dug out!!! I didn't get any Christmas cards sent this year (sorry) but loved all the ones I received Thank you! I lucked out with presents this year and received a ton of scrapbook paper, 3 sets of Wendy Vecchi's stamps & a Yudu!!! I haven't had time to play with that yet but hope to soon!

Here is a layout I did with some of my new paper and I tryed out my i-top, fun!! I covered the brads with rock candy stickles, love that stuff!!

I have been working part time at the Arts & Crafts at the base, very interesting and learning how to engrave & frame! I will be heading up a few classes so I have been working on that when I can. Here is a pic of one of the classes we will be doing, a covered picture frame with grunge paper roses, the roses are so fun to make! If anyone has some ideas for classes I would love to here them!

Hope to play with my yudu today so hopefully post some projects in the next few days. Have a good one everyone!!

them all together and really hoping I can get them all to
sit long enough to snap a picture of the 4 of them together!
Wish me luck on that one!!lol

I have been trying to keep up with Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas!
Haven't had much time to actually do the tags but just keeping
up with all the chatter and every ones blogs of their beautiful tags.
I'm really in awe of some of you getting your tags done so fast!!!
Tryed to keep up with Mario's twitter the first couple of days,
oh my goodness!! All of the tags so far have been awesome, my product
supply has gotten so low I need to go shopping! And need time to play!!!
I did manage to get a couple of tags done, didn't have a lot
of what I needed so improvised! Hoping to get some time to do
some of the other ones.

Grunge

I have been creating really.... I have! But working on to many projects at one time and not finishing them! urh!!! Also I'm thinking of doing an event, so my mind is racing with ideas about that! I was in two scrapbook stores a couple of weeks ago and asked if they carried grunge paper or grunge board, one had never heard of it and the other said no one asks for it so she doesn't carry it.. WHAT!!! Seriously...I can't believe it!!! So I'm going to put together a grungy event to show people how to use it! I would like to do it yet before Christmas so everyone can put it on their wish list, I know it is on mine as my stash is getting low!!!! lol
So I have been busy figuring out classes, I'm going to throw in an ideaology project to!! Definitely need to get some products!! Here is a little glimpse of one of the grunge projects in very early stage....

Sorry picture isn't good, the project looks darker then should! Next time!
Have a good one!

I'm going to be very fortunate this year and have the whole family home for Christmas!! I can't wait!! Figured I better get my fall pages done then I will need to work on Halloween so I will be free for the Holiday season! Here are a few quick ones that I have gotten done, again my photography of them isn't the greatest need to work on that!

Halloween

This might get a little long, I had such a great weekend need to post it!
Fri. 10/30/09 met my daughter for lunch around 12:30, after lunch we proceeded to go shopping. We hit JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, 2 scrapbook stores, Target, Wal-Mart, and a grocery store and made it to her house 1/2 hour away by 5:30. Yes we were power shopping!!!! Nothing like going into scrapbook stores to get your creative juices going!! And when we pulled in her driveway this is what greeted us.....

Her oldest boy Caidin got sick in the middle of the night and still wasn't feeling good Sat. morning, we thought there would be no trick or treating, but by Sat. afternoon he was feeling just fine! Thank goodness! Then when we started getting ready to go trick or treating her youngest son Bridger decided he didn't want to go and wouldn't put on his costume, we finally left with him crying and still no costume on! Finally when he seen all the other kids he cooperated and by the second house he was into it! By the way, he loves candy!!! So after not starting Halloween to good everyone had a great time trick or treating! My first time being able to go with the kids, so for me it was a blast!!

Landi & Chad had a Halloween party to go to later that evening, bring on the peace!!!!!
What a great Halloween!!!!
And I did come home and got the creative juices going! I started a layout with a picture from CHA of Tim Holtz & I, using a lot of grunge and ideaology pieces. I had hoped to have it finished this morning but not happening! I should get it done today and post it tomorrow morning.
Have a good one!

Fall Decor

Christmas Album

When I got home from our trip I started a travel album, got the cover almost done when this Christmas album that I started about two months ago kept staring me in the face. I decided I better get that project done before I moved on to another. I don't know why but I kept starting this album then putting it aside, maybe because Christmas was so far away, now it is right around the corner! Yikes! Another inspiration to get it done might be that I finally found some Distress Stickles Rock Candy, oh my gosh is this stuff addicting! Worked perfect for some of the embellishments for the pages!! I'm determined now to get it done so I can move on to other things!

Here is the cover.....

Here is a couple of pages I used the Distress Stickles Rock Candy on.....

I might still add some lace to the bottom of the snow man one if I can find some that will match. Already started on another page so I'm on a roll!!!!!
Have a good one!

Trip

MIA here lately! Home sweet home, it is fun to get away but feels so good to get home! Had a good time in Kansas with Shad and family! Kevin is a riot! We went to a carnival (Kevin called it a party) it was so cute! Spent a very cold rainy day at the Zoo in Salina, glad to get back in the truck and warm up! But Kevin was very excited about the pumpkin he got there! Bob had an old Navy buddy come up and visit him from Whichita and had such a nice visit he ended up coming up another day. They had a nice visit and did a lot of catching up. On our way home we stopped off at a river boat casino, nice break but of course didn't win anything! We also stopped off in Watertown, SD at a scrapbook store (I had been looking for one the whole week) and scored some distress rock candy, can't wait to get a chance to play with it!!!! It was a quick stop and I only had about 20 min. until they closed but managed to grab a few things, I got a couple of Tim Holtz masks so anxious to play with those also! Of course I came home with about 200 pictures so need to get those printed!

On Sun. I had to go see Jackson and see his new hair cut, they cut off all his curls!! Boo Hoo! Looks like a little boy now instead of a baby! They grow up way to fast! Missing Landi & family big time, haven't seen them for about 3 weeks, my limit is 2 so hope to get together with them soon!

Hope to show some projects next post.
Have a good one!

Tim Holtz Inspiration-Christmas Creativity Curio

Getting to go to Shad's after all, I have a busy day ahead of me today getting ready! It is a long awaited visit!!! So looking forward to seeing him! He has been really enjoying his time off spending a lot of time with his little boy since returning from Iraq. I do feel bad I had to cancel a class I had scheduled there! But there should be a lot more visits to Kansas as they bought a house there.

Here is a little more inspiration from Tim Holtz, my Christmas Creativity Curio.

Have a good one everyone!

A little bit of Tim Holtz-A little bit of Wendy Vecchi

Monday October 5th already! Wow, where has the time gone! Very cold here, talking of snow this week, yuk!!!! Had a pretty quiet weekend, about the only thing I did was go visit Joey's family on Sat. Joey was making salsa, Heidi says they have enough now to last at least a year! lol.. They only planted two plants and got so many nice tomatoes off of them. We played a lot with Jackson, he tryed on his halloween costume for us, he looked so cute! He is going to be a puppy and says trick or treat when he wants to! He has a new saying now when something drops or doesn't go right, ohhh man! So cute!

I did get a chance to finish this project inspired by Tim Holtz.

I also was inspired by Wendy Vecchi's blog and just had to try Wendy's technique of gluing patterned paper onto grunge paper and making the rose. My first attempt was a disaster! I had glued patterned paper on the front and back and it would not do anything!!! So went back and read how she did it and found out she didn't put it on the back, so tryed again and it worked so much better! I will have to make some more of these!! Love those roses!!!

They were so much fun to make, those two are the best!

Have a good one!
