I had a chance to do a little scrapbooking over the weekend and as most of you know I don't get to use flowers, ribbon and bling to much as I'm scrapbooking boys most of the time. I know, I know, I could on some pictures but the guys aren't to crazy about it. But I ran accross these pictures of my grandson Caidin helping me plant flowers, so I figured I was safe. Yeah, I got a chance to use flowers & bling!!
I will have to try and remember to take more pictures with flowers in them so I can use flowers & bling more often!

Have a good one!

UTEE Frame

Off the beaten path here but I watched one of Suze Weinberg's video's and had to try this out. You make the little squares with UTEE and using a melting pot. So I did this little frame, I painted the frame with the only blue I had in the house, wished I would have tryed to tone down the blue. Oh well, first try at it so I quess it isn't to bad. It is going in a room where I have a bird & birhouse theme going. Check out Suse's blog & website, lots of wonderful ideas!
Have a good one!

Tim Holtz Grunge Book

After visiting my son in Kansas and watching him with his son after being away from him for over 8 mos. it was heartwarming watching them playing together spending time together. And the love my son has for his son, I decided to make him a little book to take back to Iraq with him. I was the only one taking pictures so now he will have some of the memories. TA DA.... what a perfect book to do it with! The grunge book will work out perfectly as it won't tear or warp etc. I'm going to try do the whole book with grunge board & grunge paper as I know it will withstand all the beating it will get (duffle bags, foot lockers, etc.) I had a little time to play today, so here is the front cover (not done yet) but I'm excited how it is turning out.
Have a good one!

To bad he has to go back for another 4 months, but nice he is able to get home for a couple of weeks. He got to Kansas on Fri. and has been having a ball with his little two year old son! Hoping to get a lot of pictures of them, more to scrapbook!

Stickles, CHA, Three Faces of the King

I had done this layout a while ago, but it was just missing something. I hadn't wanted to mat the pictures, it would have covered up to much of the background. I decided to outline the pictures and lettering with stickles, worked out perfectly!
My sister & I at CHA event show Three Faces of the King. If you ever get a chance to see them go, it was an awesome show!!!!

Grunge Paper Tag

I absolutely love, love, love the new grunge paper from Tim Holtz!!!! Here is a tag I made to go on this layout using the grunge paper. When visiting my sister in CA we went to Old Town Temecula, very cool and had a lot of fun!
