WOW!! I'm truly honored to have been a guest artist on Wendy Vecchi's blog! Over the moon excited!! I admire Wendy's work so much, love all of her stamps & books (which I need to get her new one ordered) she really is amazing!! Thank you Wendy for featuring me!! My Art Parts Halloween decor was a lot of fun to make and the Art Parts were really easy to work with. I covered mine with paper which I inked up with distress inks, the art parts themselves really don't need inking as they have kind of a burnish edge to them, really cool!!
Here is a piece I did quite a while ago for my entry for the CCC on Linda L. blog. Of course the inspiration was Wendy, she had done one and posted it on her blog and I loved it so much just had to do one similar and I have had it hanging in my craft room. The piece just jumped out and spoke to me, probably because I'm such a dreamer!! lol I used Tim's flourish mask on it. I get so much inspiration from Tim & Wendy, love, love, love their work!! Speaking of Tim, I'm hoping to see him over the weekend. I'm headed to my daughter's after work tonight and then we will head out bright and early Fri. morning to ScrapFest at the Mall of America, can't wait!! It is going to be so much fun, and being able to spend the day with my daughter will be great!! We can only go for Fri. but that just might be enough from what I have heard about it!! lol
I want to thank everyone who has visited my blog and who have left such wonderful comments!! I truly appreciate them!! Thank you!!
Have a good one!!
Donna

ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I took this class and have since repeated it using other themes. Congrats on being Wendy's guest artist!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Donna and I loved what you made on Wendy's blog! I am going to Scrapfest also with two of my girlfriends and only for Friday as well. We didn't take any classes just playing it by ear and stalking Tim. LOL
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, I like the earthy tones and the statement makes you want to take a break and day-dream!
ReplyDeleteI saw this and love it!!
ReplyDeleteOH Donna!! BEAUTIFUL Piece, Love it!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Donna, and it was well deserved. That Halloween piece was truly cool! This little hanging is awesome as well! You go!
ReplyDeleteDonna, how awesome that you're a guest designer at Wendy's blog! You are the perfect woman for the job, and I'm thrilled for you and for everyone who gets to admire your art!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, this is an absolutely gorgeous piece of masked wonderment you've created! You've combined the styles of our two favorite Crafting Obi Wans perfectly, and managed to infuse it your own lovely style, too. The masking and stamping are great, and the sweet embellishments you've chosen fit the theme brilliantly. I love it!
Bravo on a much-deserved honor! ♥
